Mid-Carolina Rebels Varsity sailed to an easy victory over Saluda 11-1 on Senior Night.
Saluda opened up scoring in the first inning. Hunter Graham’s wild pitch allowed one run to score for Saluda.
Mid-Carolina Rebels Varsity pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Zach Frick doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Bryce Medlock singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, and an error scored one run for the Rebels.
Mid-Carolina notched five runs in the fifth inning. The Rebels Varsity’s big inning was driven by singles by Cade Ruff and Jeb Fulmer and a double by Hunter Clinton.
Graham led the Mid-Carolina Rebels to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He went five innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out five.
Chris Suber took the loss for Saluda. He went three innings, allowing six runs on three hits and striking out four.
The Rebels tallied nine hits. Medlock and Fulmer each had multiple hits. Medlock went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the team in hits.
